We will forward your text directly to the entire fresher batch in the next email without identifying you. Yes, seriously, this is your anonymous voice, take full advantage.

Here are the responses sorted by category. Ordering of responses within each category is somewhat random, but I’ve tried pushing the more interesting stuff to the top and the boring stuff to the bottom. (Does not mean all entries at the end of each category are bad; use your own judgement.) Also note that some entries may be worthy of belonging to more than one category; in that case I’ve picked the best fit or else an arbitrary category.

Thoughts on Studies/Minors

I just don't feel like writing anything. I could not solve one question in Minor 1 Mtl101 which everyone else could solve. It's just frustrating!!

IITD atmosphere

The first thing I noticed in IIT Delhi is that the student atmosphere is great. In harry potter movie ,Hogwarts is said to be a school where help is given when asked. I believe the same can be said of IIT Delhi. Please keep it up.

Watching insta stories of my schoolmates partying at their freshers’ pisses me especially when i have been made to do nothing but study since the very day i came here. So yeah that’s quite an amusement for my friends and they never forget to pick on me.

Here 15% freshers are dumb and idiot. Don't know why they think they are superior to others. Everyone here has qualified JEE man. The rest 85% freshers are awesome! And kuch to harr field mein bahut zabardast h. Baaki bandiyan kaafi sahi h. Hope koi acchi dost bann jaaye yahan. IITD ROCKS!!

Is iitd really the best?

There are very less events occuring here compared to IITB and IITK, we feel jealous. For example salsa night.So guys it is our responsibility to make them jealous.

At first didn't like the college but now liking every aspect of it.....god, the craziest thing about iitD is seniors.... man, seniors are 😍😍😍 ( even the senior guys, tbh)......and also to girls of our batch, please dont be in closed circles.......Lets make IITD confession page more active.....guys c'mon, that thing is just too much fun....

Rip brca night

After entering into IIT the only fun thing that i have done is to sleep whenever i get some free time because lectures don't even allow us to wake up late in the morning.
Yarr.. talking of lectures how can someone be so boring..even a discovery channel documentary on rocks takes more time to get me all dizzy. If we had to wake up as early as atleast 7 then why the hell we take up college dude; to see the 'hariyali' over here, which not the case at all i suppose as it tends to zero . Minors are going hell .
Waiting for the fun moments that are expected from an IIT .

I don't like anything to the point that it makes me cry when I loose it.

I am an emotional guy. Believe me if you be my best friend than you will have all my support but I would also expect the same.

Advice

Please, I implore you to become men/women of culture. This is no longer JEE, so stop judging and competing. Give respect, get respect. Always be willing to help out. This doesn't mean letting someone copy an entire assignment, but be willing to share knowledge. Always remember that however bad things get for you, there's always someone else in the world having a worse time.

Don't judge a book by it's cover

Please all my friends come out of your mobile phones and make friends by interacting with them not just on fb or WhatsApp because when you need them and if by chance he or she is not knowing you properly and will not trust you directly by interacting on fb because nowadays fake IDs are also there. So please make friends by interacting with them.

Please learn to flush

I would like to share few of my thoughts.
1)Make friends with people you don't know. Specially who are always ready to help.
2)Although this requires an argument but, still
There should always be a person in your life whom you follow before the blink of the eye.
3)Also remember a test in which you secured full marks will never teach you a thing. This can be stated in a great way as:
You follow your parents not because they secured a better rank in JEE ADV(better than yours) but because they have done more mistakes than us. Hence they learned more!!
4)At last, money is only the vicious circle of life. The deepening of friendship is equal to a whole lot of money. It does not matter how much money you have, the path from your hostel to the LHC will always feel longer without friends.

Ask better questions in NIN lectures. Read about the speaker before hand , this will help you frame more sensible questions. Go out of your rooms and interact with people, you might find someone who shares same interests as you.

So just keep this in mind while we are here and even after we have all passed out because this nation of ours has a lot of expectations and hope from all of us and its the exact reason why the government is spending so much money on us.    AND IITD IS BETTER THAN IITB !!!!

Take IITD as an opportunity and not as an achievement

I don't think about selection in IIT because everybody said you are not eligible for IIT except parents but I do it. So, please respect your parents and don't hurt them to take a wrong dicision.

It was interesting *to see the Jwalamukhi hostel freshers spamming the official group and having an emergency meeting called by the hostel reps in the middle of the night.

GPL...... What was that. I saw one of the sessions. Do girls hostel also have any b'day bombs like that???

I go a deodrant from a TOI vendor for free. In the same evening, my friends figured it out and sprayed it in the room just above our gate. Tge other room's residents thought that its an insect spray and xame out calfing. After knowing the actual thing, we all laughed. Then they bought their room freshners and deodrents too, and we made other people our prey ;P This all lasted till 12 am and almost all fresher were now involved in this. It was a great fun, and the 1st interaction with my hostel mates.

I love to interact with everyone but I am little hesitant. I would like to share a small story of school. Me and my friends were making fun of our social science teacher about how she speaks hindi as she was from south. One day I was caught and was asked to write an apology letter in staff room then and there. I was absolutely blank regarding how to write an APOLOGY letter. I began by writting "hope this letter finds you in pink of health...". Story ends! It seemed funny at that time and whole staff room laughed. Don't share if not funny😅
